Hi,

I am just wondering if anyone of you have heard anything from CMU, MIT, Harvard, Princeton, V-tech or UMass.

I have applied to these schools for PhD in EE and have not heard from them for long. The last message that I received was that my application was complete and silence from then on..... [xx(]

If any one of you have heard from them, please let me know.

I know that Harvard, at least the school of education, is sending out letters on March 15th for PhD and April 1st for Masters. It should be posted on their website, under application.

Lets join our energy to send all those admitions commettees positive vibes.

I have applied to Princeton in CS and haven't heard anything from them either other than the fact that my application is complete. I think all these universities will start sending offers / rejects by March 15. Does anyone know anything about waiting lists and cut off lists - or any insight into how grad. schools extend offers?

In my case MIT sent a clear rejection, I doubt whether they have any waiting list. From what CMU told me, it seems they might have a waiting list.

dionysus, was it an email or snail mail? in case of snail mail, what was the date of post?

It was a snail mail. I'm in office right now so dont have access to it. From what I recall it was dated at February 17th, 2004.

Hi Dinosys,

Cheer up man! dont lose heart, keep faith in your self, there are many good schools in queu for you. It happened to me too, I got rejected from MIT.
