Google trivia
Hey interesting stuff about google( am obviously digressing but i can't keep this to myself)
I hit google on dictionary.com and this pops up. Main Entry: google Definition: to search for information about a specific person through the Google search engine Example: She googled her high school boyfriends. Etymology: trademark Google Usage: googling n The "Google" spelling is also used in "The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" by Douglas Adams, in which one of Deep Thought's designers asks, "And are you not," said Fook, leaning anxiously foward, "a greater analyst than the Googleplex Star Thinker in the Seventh Galaxy of Light and Ingenuity which can calculate the trajectory of every single dust particle throughout a five-week Dangrabad Beta sand blizzard?" I was obviously stunned at the example and Douglas Adams is one awesome writer!!! |

They asked me a lot of questions, the answers to which appear in the article. Have you read the Google article? It's mostly general questions about my work and my website.
As for revenue... I think you'll understand that I prefer not to discuss these things. I can tell you, though, that I've been running TestMagic since 1998, and for the majority of that time, I had little to no revenue. If profit had been my motive in creating TestMagic, I would have abandoned it long ago. However, I'm here for very different reasons, so I've stuck with it. I hope you guys will all stick around, too. I've got some big plans for the spring and summer as I continue my quest to make TestMagic #1 in what it does. It'll be a while before I can catch up to the big guys (BusinessWeek, USNews, etc.), but no harm in trying!  Last edited by Erin : 02-25-2005 at 06:01 PM. Reason: Yucky typos. |
