I see a lot of you guys are mentioning test prep questions. That's a great idea, but if I had a lot of extra text questions to give out as prizes, shouldn't I just give those out to anybody? In other words, if I had a resource that I thought would help people, shouldn't I make it somehow available to others?

I know most of you would probably want stuff to help you study, but what about other things? Such as TestMagic t-shirts, or other TestMagic promo items (I have some of that stuff here in San Francisco).

iPod contests seem to be popular, too. A bit on the expensive side, but maybe for a big contest of some sort.

So it seems the frontrunners are:

books and other study materials
Amazon.com gift certificates
more test prep questions

Let's get a few more ideas, and perhaps I'll post a poll to ask about this.

Happy nameday!

An Amazon gift certificate would basically be credit with Amazon that you could spend however you liked.

I've thought about this before, though. It's a nice idea, but since I would pay, say $10 for a $10 gift certificate, wouldn't a cash prize be a greater incentive than a gift certificate? (Mind you, I'm not saying I'm going to give away cash, just telling you my thoughts.

)

I guess not, cz cash will be gone in no time and the memories of the achivement would get lost along with it. However, with a gift certificate, one may want to buy something which can act as a reminder of TestMagic.

I don't know!! For me, Testmagic has been the biggest free gift of knowledge and valueable interaction I ever received! You can't beat a gift like that. Why! That is priceless!

Kewl idea Erin
Given the kind nature of fellow TMians, a gift wud be absolutely unncessary, but always an acknowledgement of their good posts would be a huge boost. I would suggest some privilege within TM(like restricted avatars, that strawberry, fish icon kinda thing etc..)rather than monetary incentives would be a fitting gift for good posters.
