@ Erin... I just noticed something. When I click on " Live Chat" it opens into the forums !! Is this how it is supposed to be, or is this a new feature, under development ?

Yes it's great! But some link doesn't work properly hope Erin will figure it out quickly!
Erin, I have a request, in this forum all important notes and stuffs are just scatter way into different thread. Isn't it possible to arrange it officially into one folder? So that, a new student can easily gets those useful notes quickly. And those students who want to post his new notes in to the forum they will place it into that specific folder instead of his debrief. thanks

Q1. Are all the changes in the world for the good? Q2. Is it sensible to expend effort on change which will not provide a positive outcome? Q3. Does it matter if you don't keep up with the Joneses? To all three I would answer 'no'. Therefore I see change for its own sake as a futile exercise which is wasteful of both time and money which could usually be better applied elsewhere. Of course you have to realise that my views are tinged by nearly a decade of government under Mr Bliar. He sees himself as a 'moderniser' and has changed many things that were old-fashioned but worked well only to replace them with things that have been barely thought through and are now proving to be unworkable. Meanwhile things that do need attention have been left untouched. I take after the Duke of Wellington (I think it was he) who said "Change! Who wants change? Things are bad enough as they are." So, to iterate my earlier post, I neither like nor dislike the changes but unless they provide something new that is valuable (there may be such benefits, but I have not seen any so far) I doubt the value of making them. Michael

Yet again, I know for a fact that if you do say something, it would'nt be without a reason and I respect that. Probably it's my generation that is making me say this and I am compelled to oblige !!
Well, this is the way I see it. Quote:

As far as the new look of TM goes, I agree with you in the sense that I have not noticed any major benifits, but then as I said atleast the aesthetic value has received a boost !! So Cheers !! ![]()

Ah! The first flaw in your argument shows through! Why make changes unless you know the outcome will be positive? If, as you seem to advocate, you change for change's sake and hope, in a Micawberish way, that things will turn out fine there is a very real chance that things will get not just worse but much worse! Then what do you do? Change back? Make more untried changes? Quote:
What is interesting (he said, contemplating the fact that the only use of the old is to serve as an example of what not to do in your youth to the young) is that earlier this evening I was watching TV and a commercial came on using what was obviously regarded as a really innovative style. Sadly this modernity was wasted on me as I thought 'that is so 1960s'. And the moral of that story is 'what goes round, comes round'. We're getting quite cerebral. Perhaps this should be in the Salon. EDIT: And you didn't answer my three questions. Michael

I agree with you in all your comments about whether this change is for the better or not. I looked at these colors for a few days. I feel that the old forums seem to be more distinctive than other forums (by other owners) I saw. These colors look the same as other owners' forums. The previous one seems to be more cheerful. These colors look sad. When I look at the forum, I feel depressed because of the unhappy colors, especially the black color on the title, "testmagic" which "magic" uses black color. Is it possible to change to other color? I just do not like black. Moreover, the fonts seem to be too small. I have difficulty reading and understanding the letters. I am using 19 inch screen. I am curious if one is using 15 inch screen labtop. How can you see these small letters? Another comment is that the contrast of the colors between the font and background was less than the previous one. That's why I feel it is hard to read. However, the smile of the young man on the right is extremely heartbreaking. Knok
