Is it possible for someone with 16 years of education(4 yr Bachelors) to get enrolled into a PhD programme(computing) at a US university or MS is must
not talking about specific schools...general trend

Plus what are the dealines normally for graduate admissions
any help will be appreciated.

You CAN usually get into PhD program directly in US.

Most of the deadlines are in december & january for fall session.

I think your work Ex will really help you if it is computer related.
Check some gre websites. Most imp:- www.ets.org (http://www.ets.org) to start with.
Also take some practice tests from www.kaplan.com and then see your chances on www.missiongre.com

i have almost 5 years of expereince.....but have a low gpa 2.61/4.0
cuouple of published articles ..
what score I need in GRE to get into a reasonable school

GPA seems to be ok.
I think u have to gaze through whole lot of university websites to know their minimal requirement.
Initially they will not care about publication or work exp.
All of them have a pre app requirements of GPA/GRE/TOEFL.
The apps is first evaluated by the committee(staff) to see whether it meets the min. reqt. since they cannot ask to Profs to review 500 apps. Some schools may be lenient.Some schools may not.

Check the Univ. that fits your profile. You can take chances for few but dont take for all.

Nething equal or above 1300 and AW:4.0 will be OK
