U.C. Berkeley just announced some preliminary stats about students accepted for the fall of 2003.

According to the press release, 36,920 people applied, and only 8,679 were admitted, resulting in a 24% acceptance rate. Of the accepted students, Berkeley officials expect 3,755 to attend in the fall.
