I' m learning in National University of Civil Engineering in VietNam. I'm a freshman.
And now I want to learn in US.I'll have my TOEFL test on 19 Nov but I dont have enough time to take SAT. Therefore I just have TOEFL score. Which university will accept me?
I just find one. It's Michigan Technological University.
Pls help me find some more....

U guys, I'm a highschool student. I wanna apply for scholarships in National Univ of Singapore (NUS) and Nanyang Technological Univ ( NTU), both in Singapore. They ask me to write an essay ( about 300 words) on one of these 2 topics:

Share an event or incident you have encountered personally and why and/or how it has affected you or is especially meaningful to you.
Describe a person who has had an influence in you, and share with us why and/or how the person has influenced you.

Well I know this kind of thing is personal but I dunno how to start off wif? What should I write to make good impression? Should I use complicated words or just simple ones? Guys, help me!!!

Well, if you happen to figure out what you want to write, I'll gladly critique your essay.

Complicated words, if used incorrectly, can deter your essay, rather than enhance it.
