International s need advices
Hi, everyone. I'm a newbie here. Now I'm a little bit confused and tired.
I just come to the US for almost 3 months and study in a Lutheran high school. I apply colleges as a international applicant. This is my case: SAT 1: Dec 05. The last time I took is 7 months ago, it was the old test.Math 790, Verbal 440( bad, right?) . Now my vocabulary and skills are messed up and I'm not good at writing. SAT 2: Math II 800. Physics just taken in Nov, I think it's 750-780. Toeft: Paper 600. GPA: 4.2 it's the 1st quater grades in this year, before i wasn't in the US Now I apply for UC, UT and some private colleges but I'm getting more and more afraid. UCs are hard, and I still have a lot of work that need to do in the PStatements. How I need finish it by the end of this month!!!! Someone told me that big public unversity like UC didn't care much about the PStatements like small private colleges, is it right? Did I stand a chance to get into cool UC like UC Bekerley and UC Davis? My highschool college consellor likes my maths and computer science level, so she strongly encourages me(almost like command, she said it every weeks) to apply for Harvey Mudd. But the requirements and the low acceptance percent really scared me. Now the consellor is arranging for me to have a interview at Harvey Mudd after Thanksgiving!!! I also apply for UT Austin, I hope it much more easier. Please give me any advices. ![]() |

Have you taken Calculus? I'm pretty sure that Harvey Mudd requires that all prospective students to have taken Calculus before they enter. With Schools like Harvey Mudd, it is impossible to predict a student's chance to get accepted there -- it all depends on the other applicants that everyone is competing against. Good Luck! ![]()

Having trouble with the SAT? Try the ACT Accepted: American U., Northeastern U., Boston U., RPI, McGill (going to attend), and Penn State - University Park |
