Jan 28 Last SAT testing date
Woe is me for not having thought about these issues earlier...
Unluckily, our schools in Italy are very disinformed about admissions in the U.S.A., where I would like to continue after high school (Fall 2006) In almost all undergraduate applications to good universities over there, the websites state that "Jan 28, 2006" is the last date for the SAT I and SAT II tests. So far, I have not done any of those tests and could do SAT I on Jan 28 and the subject tests the date after... My question is, dear undergraduates/applicants/etc., are there still good universities where I may apply, where the SAT testing date deadlines are a bit more later?? With "good" I also mean possibilities for intl. students, financial aid, good multifaceted studying environment. I would preferably go somewhere to the North of the East coast, but I'll really appreciate if you can tell me about some good places. Thanks and sorry that I'm so late Fanciullino P.S.: are there also other forums like these about university admissions in the USA? |

The SAT I is much more important than the SATII's - so if you have the chance to take the test in January take the SAT I.
There are few (there is like none) that accept SAT scores for Fall 2006 admissions after the January 28th test date. This link will bring you to a list of schools that require SATII's, and how many and which ones you need to take: http://www.collegeboard.com/prof/cou.../apply/12.html (As you can see there are plenty of schools that don't even require SATII's as part of their requirements.) It would be hard to recommend a college to you and not know what you major in -- most colleges here specialize in a few subject areas so it would be to your best interest if we know what you want to major in.

Having trouble with the SAT? Try the ACT Accepted: American U., Northeastern U., Boston U., RPI, McGill (going to attend), and Penn State - University Park |

Wow, that's a tall order. First of all, the better universities tend to have earlier deadlines; it's usually the local universities and two-year colleges that have later deadlines. Unfortunately, deadlines for international students are usually also much earlier. And on top of that, if you want to compete for the very little funding that exists for international students, you'll need to have all your ducks in a row, so to speak, way ahead of time.
But good luck! ![]() |
