Hi, I'm a United States citizen who is currently studying in India. I'm interested in studying aerospace engineering at University of Maryland - College Park, Penn State, Boston University, Georgia Tech etc. I got a 2140 on my SAT, 650 on Critical Reading, 710 on Math, and 790 on Writing. I have no idea what my GPA is, as I cannot convert Indian grades to US ones. I only got a 660 on my Physics SAT II (very low, I know) and I will be writing Math I next month. I understand that the essay part of the application is important, but am not worried about that part, since I have always been able to write excellent essays. I'm very worried about whether I have any chances of being admitted into those colleges or not. Any thoughts? And does anyone have any idea what a good GPA would be, for those colleges?

You have a really good chance at getting into any of those schools. I Would even use Penn State as a possible safety. The only one among those that may be questionable would be Georgia Tech simply because their engineering college is harder to get into than the rest of the university.
