What is the value addition of pursuing part time MS CS for a Project Manager?

    folks,

I have BS degree in information technology(from India) with 7+ years of experience with some of the reputed companies in IT industry.

I have been working in Silicon Valley as a project manager for last 2 years making good salary ( in the upper band of industry standard).

Carnegie Mellon and Stanford both offer part time MS CS programs in bay area.

Investment is around 60k USD, which I can afford by wiping out some of my hard earned money.

I have enough knowledge in IT industry by my work experience. In my opinion, pursuing MS degree would be more like sharpening my axes.

So the questions I have for you guys is

Is it worth spending 60k on education in my case?

What's my Return on Investment (ROI) in short / long term in your opinion?

What value addition can I expect from Standford / Carnegie Mellon?

Do you guys think the brand name "Standford" / "Carnegie Mellon" matters?

Or should I consider cheaper option such as San Jose State University part time program?

Wouldn't you be better off with a graduate degree in management compared to a MSCS? If there are visa issues, perhaps a graduate degree that is both technical and managerial.
