What does it take to make it to the BIG names in the US?

I am a Computer Science graduate student from india aspiring to make it to the so called "Big Names" for MS(thinking of MS for now not for Phd).

My profile is something like this :
    10std: 86.80%
    12std: 91.00%
    B.Tech: VIT,Pune in Computer Engineering. 78.67% (aggregate)
Amongst top 5 in the CS dept of my college.

Good projects at College level in Datastructures,Robotics and Artificial Intelligence

Final year project at NVIDIA,Pune. I was working with the Video Team, working on Image Processing Algorithms and Parallel Algorithms in my project.
Our project won the FIRST prize in the open software contest at Techkriti (IIT-Kanpur's technical event).

Im interested in video codec design, video analytics, graphics, advanced computing and parallel processing. I would like to know what courses and universities i should target considering my profile and interests.
I aspire to pursue MS after 1-2 years of Work-Ex.

you do seem to have a decent profile. if your statement of purpose and letter of recommendations are strong, you can aim for top 25 universities. Good Luck!

MS in CS in US schools are not difficult to get through at all. As long as you show enough funding, and get great GRE scores, for Indians, it is not difficult.

MS (CS) in top schools are basically the money rakers. Therefore, they admit a lot of students.
