Help Evaluate | PhD CS | Spring/ Fall '12 | Relevant Work Ex > 3 years
I want to apply for PhD in CS in Spring/ Fall of 2012. My profile is as under:
Masters of Science in Computer Science, from College of Staten Island/CUNY. CGPA 3.52
Relevant Experience: >3 Yrs as Asst. Professor of CS outside US (initial 4+ years in unrelated industry)
One co-written US conference paper (double blind previewed), getting considered for the journal publication
Served at various vital Admin. and Faculty positions at the University
GRE: Not attempted yet
I am concerned about my GRE (Verbal/ AWA). I will give my best shot after as much prep as I could but still that is the area I believe I am going to suffer. Hopefully will be able to get at least one more publication (waiting for an answer).
What does the senior members here (CalmLogic and others) think about the possibility of getting into Tier-1/ Top ranked public/private Ivy League institutions?
What areas you think I should work more on to make my application strong?
Thanks in advance.
