i just got into a cs master's program ranked 30 by usnews. now i'm looking for advice about what my goals should be if i want to get into cambridge (

) for phd in three years. i'm going to try to get an ra and of course A's, but what else?

ml2316, congrats, what university did you get into?

Anyway, you'll want to try and get at least 2 papers published as well as to endear yourself to a few of the profs (the ones you will want to write your recs for Cambridge). Obviously your GPA will matter a good bit, but research papers will help tremendously and great letters of rec will help seal the proverbial deal.
