Hi all,

Follwing is the list of colleges I have shortlisted. would request all you members to kindly evaluate my chances in each of these. Also, pls suggest if there are any good schools that I missed in my list but have good chances of gettin an admit from. Also, what are my chances of getting aid.. cos that is another crucial criterion for me. Carnegie Mellon University Princeton University Univ of Texas, Austin Univ of Illinois at Urbana Champaign Univ of Washington, Seattle California Institute Tech, Pasadena Univ Of CAlifornia, Los Angeles Brown Univ Yale Univ Univ of Maryland, College Park New York Univ Univ Of Massachusetts At Amherst Rice Univ TAMU North Carolina State Univ waiting for a response from all you Earthlings! Not trying to be discouraging but your profile is really good but all yoru choices are really high. Select some medium level too...
To get into such high college you require papers published in famous journals which you dont have so its a high chance that you might be rejected in all. So select 4 from this list which are good in Networks. I am 100% sure that all of them are not good in Networks and you dont wanna end up in a college which has no good networks research even though it might be a top 10 college. Specific area of research is very important!!!!! Looking at the list, I will say you are 99% sure in TAMU for MS but I cant say for PhD. For PhD, you require kick *** papers in top journals for the other colleges or you have to be from IIT....are you from IIT???

Thnx
Hello
Thank You so much for thy responses. No I m not frm IIT. In fact I m not frm that great a college. I guess no points for college. n no research papers too. Although my work experience is very relevant. I have been working on a Nokia project for the last 2 years. I thot that most humbly and respectfully would b a plus. Anyways, I will revise my options and get back with a new list asap. Pls do review that too. Bon Fanatic |
