Hi guys!
I've just received the following:
"Please note that the Graduate School has recently received a copy of your assistantship (award) letter from your department. We were able to use this award letter to clear your International financial requirements for admission and we are currently processing your I-20."

I'm really happy but I haven't received that assistantship letter yet, so I don't even know the amount... It's pretty like the thing happened with TAMU when I received the congratulations from the International Student Services 2 days earlier than the official acceptance/offer from the department.

@pborosan: congrats!
I also got the same letter, & also one from the csc department by the grad program director saying that I was awarded a financial packet worth 32 grands for the year. I guess you''l be recieveing the same mail any moment now.

I have an admit at NCSU MS Computer Networking !
Haven't still heard on aid !

I have a few ques:

1. Were you awarded the aid after you sent the CFR form ?
2. Did you individually contacted profs about the aid ?

I don't think any of us sent the CFR form(at least I didn't). NCSU said they will decide on funding by march, so everybody waited.

I beleive everybody here got TAs, which is decided by the admission committee, not any individual professor. So, I don't think 'proffletting' had anything to do with this.

This is what I have heard from my frndz at NCSU. Funding scene is bad at NCSU for M.S students (Its overcrowded) . The ones got aid are PhD applicants ( and they do generally get it). correct me if i am wrong. I have got NCSU admit but lets c .. not that much hopeful

they say "very very very lucky if u get aid"
