Which one would you choose and why? I'm interested in databases and AI, money is not a criterion.

I would say GA Tech. My friend is there for PhD in AI and it's pretty strong. US News ranks GA Tech at 12 and Purdue at 19 for CS PhD. I haven't done much research otherwise on Purdue.

I actually think that it's a very hard decision. Firstly, GaTech is not very strong in AI. But the overall ranking is better.

Secondly, for an MS the important thing is job availability. For that, I know that Purdue is very strong and that most top companies rectruit there. So find that out for GaTech.
