The overall acceptance rate to the engineering grad school is approximately 30% from US News. This includes Phd so I can't imagine it'll be any lower than that for MSCS.
For example, I got in this year and I didn't realistically think I would. I'll be going in Fall. Just give yourself a chance and apply. |

Awesome..you got into stanford...congress....could you share your profile? did u get into MS or Phd.....Actually i Have around 7 yrs of product development (not research or publications though) experience and therefore, i am looking forward to get into a good school....do u think development exp. would be considered by admission folks??

Yes! I think work experience is highly valued. That's probably the reason Stanford was willing to overlook my low GPA. I had two years full time after graduating and 2 years part-time internships while I was going to school at two Fortune 500 companies. In my opinion, Stanford is a more business/entrepreneurial oriented school.
My stats: 1600 on the GRE. Major in Computer Science and Minor in Management. 3.45 Overall Gpa. Excellent recs. Honors Research Thesis. Good luck! Let us know how it goes. |
