About to apply for Canadian Universities - Need advice
Hi,
I need advice from people who ever applied for canadian univeristies. I am an international candidate, my country of residence / citizenship is Pakistan. I did my BS - Computer Science from the top Pakistani university but my cumulative G.P.A. is low thats 2.64 with a 3.12 G.P.A. in the last year. I have experience of 3 years with some great appreciation letters from my company and clients but I wonder if they will have any impact at all on my application. I will appreciate if someone experienced can provide me answers for the following questions, 1. I haven't sat for G.R.E., and if I go for it by the end of October, I can do good in Quant but little hope with Verbal. How much a role G.R.E. plays in getting an admission in universities like UoT, UBC and York? I know McGill, Waterloo and Alberta asks it. By the way my IELTS score is 8.0, does this score makes any kind of difference? 2. If I go for G.R.E., is it necessary to do great in Verbal, will it be ok if I get a good Quant and analytical score ? 3. With my situation, should I actually go forward and apply for these universities or will they be rejecting it for sure. |
