University of California, Santa Cruz:

They are offering a MS in Computer Science but concentration in Information Systems Management - any ideas on the kind of profiles there?

Well, although UCSC is ranked quite below in USNews, they seem to be pretty picky and choosy about graduate admission. I remember being shocked when I found ppl on the edulix forum with profiles as good as 780q + 550v being rejected by UCSC.

ANyways, U.S.News reports that average GRE scores of 2006 admits were 750q and 540v. ( although this statistics is for overall engineering admission...... Click here to see the source of information )

Personally I thought of keeping UCSC as one of my safe schools, but when I figured that the Santa Cruz Islands are located far away into the sea from the main land of California ( Or USA as a whole :P ), I turned it down.

Nonetheless, UCSC is a member of the prestigious UCs, so it's worth giving a shot !! If you are in search of a safe school near CA, you might try UC-Riverside.

You might also want to do a little profile search @ any of the following sites.

1.apply corner
2. Edulix University search
3.Yuster! School Application Notification
4. Or the gradcafe.

Best Of luck

GRE_Fighter: Are you certain that UCSC is located in an island, and not on the main land of California? Because I have studied the map which is available in its website, and also cross checked with Google Earth, it seems that UCSC is located next to San Mateo and Santa Clara, and is on CA main land.

I have also searched from Santa Cruz island and found one in CA. However, it doesn't seem to have any universities on the island, though. Therefore, I suspect that might confused UCSC with Santa Cruz island, the two are at different locations.
