Yes, but arguably, it is not as good as CMU, UCB or even Purdue or UIUC.

Also, Purdue MS in CS is also very very selective.

There is admission statistics posted for UPENN Computer Science on their website and it is roughly 50% acceptance there. I thought Brown must be around 50% as well.

UPenn - any mS program is really easy to get in. No offence to anyone who got in but thats the business model of them.

well if it was easy,we wont be seeing so many rejects in grad cafe. it all depends what school you talking about. better schools are hard irrespective whether it is MS or Phd.

ofcourse when you compare Phd vs MS, MS is relatively easier.

No, this is totally wrong. Some MS programs are as tough as PhD. But I can say that it's relatively easier in general to get into MS program than PhD.

MS programs are mucho easier to get in than PhD programs. Thats what I meant.

And if you do not require funding then MS programs are still easier.

Guyz, ranking does matter. Most ppl. apply to universities acc. to ranks.

Even if someone has good acads they usually don't go above georgia.

Only ppl. with good projects, publications they think of app to top 10.

All apply to 10 univs.

Ppl. who apply to top 10 their list usually ends at top 30, whereas for ppl. like me it'll start at top 30 if I get bad GRE scores.

May be I'll apply to purdue too.
