Well from your list, USC is very strong. USC does admit a lot of people, but its program is strong and they drill you in it so that when you graduate your skills in computing and applied computing are strong. The school of engineering @ USC is ranked in the top 15, I believe and their Computer Science is in the top #25. Also it is close to San Diego, and Qualcomm hires a lot of people from USC. And you are close (well sort of) to silicon valley.

Certainly, for me, it would be a decision between USC and UF, and I would probably go with USC for the reasons stated above. The difference in tuition doesn't seem much, anyway, so the 12k scholarship seems to be the only real savings in addition to lower living expenses.
The location of UF certainly sucks. You are in a swamp in the middle of nowhere. Google, Yahoo, etc. are so far away that you can become uninspired.

Yeh I am going for MS Computer Science in Fall 2008. I have a few admits at the moment and still waiting to hear from 5 universities. Dont look much in the $12,000 scholarship, it is just short term gain. USC has better long term prospects.

BTW:
University of Southern California Employment Prospects: Vault USC Undergrad Job & Career Surveys University of Florida Employment Prospects: Vault University of Florida Undergrad Job & Career Surveys New Student FAQs (UF) Getting a campus job paying less than $10 an hour at UF is not hard. The students at UF (a party school) are mostly in-state students who have no need to work. Check it out: Student Jobs And to clarify my previous statement about UF's location, it's actully a great college town. It's just obviously not anywhere near an IT hotspot.
