I would add PSU to the ambitious list, while the others are in moderate-ambitious level. And one more thing, remove SJSU from your list since your too good for them.

BTW, Drexel has twp MS programs, a typical MS of Science and MS of Software Engineering, but the problem with Drexel is that you have to finish 45 credit hours while other universities usually requires 30.

Now that I see that thread again, it also has some interesting words of encouragement:

you never know what freak admits people might get. As of 2-3 years ago..Gatech was considered a tough cookie to crack. But then last yeasrthey shocked everyone.

GA Tech shocked people this year (in a bad way) by rejecting more MS students than last year. So some schools may be at least a little cyclical.

Yes, it was apparently more difficult this year than last year. However, it may be easier for Fall 2009

It is also a well known fact that course-based master's programs at top schools are their cash cows to support their PhD students. The incentive is so strong that even Carnegie Mellon decided to open up a campus in Silicon Valley (Carnegie Mellon West) and offer master's degree with the promise of the exact same diploma. They of course do not want to compromise their "orthodox" program's reputation, so they will name the cash-cow programs slightly differently. So instead of MS in CS, you get "Master in Software Engineering." Notice the lack of a MS designation. Well, a few of my friends went, and two years later, still working as intern. US News ranking would NEVER capture that.
