In terms of difficulty in courses... Brown vs Gatech
I figure MDK and CalmLogic must be tired with my endless Brown Vs Gatech threads, but nevertheless one extra thread now wont really matter.
1) In terms of course requriements Brown seems to be relatively easy and simple ( I may be wrong). If i do the project MSCS, then I just need to do 6 courses from which 4 are at 1000 level(undergratuate level) and just 2 at 2000 level (graduate level). Does this mean, studies at Brown will be very easy? 2) At Gatech, it seems pretty demanding. I require 36credit hours to graduate. Which roughly translates to 12 courses. Please correct me if i am wrong. And again will appreciate inputs from everyone specially CalmLogic and MDK. |

GT Catalog : COC : MS Computer Science (Is it because you are you in a rush to pay off your loans? At least with the student loans I can get as a U.S. citizen, the interest doesn't start until after graduation.)Anyway, GA Tech seems more exciting and potentially more challenging -- in a good way. (Of course, since you were able to get in, I'm sure you can handle it no problem, especially if you make friends with the TAs. You could also start studying now My personal backup plan is just to pay for tutoring if I ever need a lot of help, like if I realize three months into the course that proofs will be required for the final exam.)And I would think you could take some relatively easy HCI electives: PSYCH / CS 6750 -- HCI (Fall 2007) and/or gain credits by using some resume-boosting skills, e.g.: Quote:

I don't know about difficulty, but you can compare the assignments and the projects in any similar courses at the both universities. IMHO, you may find some differences between the two schools since Gatech is an Engineering oriented school that gives utmost perfection for any project, so they might be demanding more effort.

And GA Tech does offer a far greater selection of courses. So, in that sense, you may be more likely to take a course you actually like and find useful.
For example: College of Computing - Class Web Sites College of Computing Class Web Sites - Previous Semesters https://oscar.gatech.edu/pls/bprod/b..._disp_dyn_ctlg
