Gatech College of Computing Program Study
Can someone please help me understand what this really means.
Project option This option requires the student to complete 27 hours of course work and a 9-hour project. The project requires approval by a faculty advisor and the M.S. coordinator in the semester prior to its inception. Total Course Credit Hours 36 MS Project Hours 9 CS Credit Hours 24* CS Credit Hours (6000/8000 Level) 18* This is what i get from it. 1) If i take project option then i do 9 hours of Project + 27 hours of course work 2) now the 27 hours of course work from the above description dont add up at all. -it says CS Credit hours is 24---------(a) -CS credit hours of 6000/8000 is 18. ------(b) 24+9=33 ( i am missing 3 credits here??) does this mean that (a) includes (b) as well i.e. from 24 credit hours 18 must be from the 6000/8000 level. If yes, then I am still missing the 3 credit hours of the 27 course credit hours. Last edited by w_guy : 04-24-2008 at 02:27 AM. |

Just based on what you copied from GA Tech, my guess is:
27 course credits (This includes 24 credits that must be CS courses, 18 of which are 6000/8000 level.) I'm sure about the 9 thesis credits. (27+9 = 36)
