Are there any textbooks that are considered definitive and "classic" in the CS world? A "canon" of CS knowledge in textbook form? I'm curious about any space: algorithms, databases, networks, compilers, AI, operating systems, etc.

Any ideas on which advanced math courses would be most helpful in the study of AI and Machine Learning? I'm thinking calculus-based statistics, discrete math, and numerical analysis, but that's just guessing on my part.
