    Hello

Would you please tell me which one of the choices fits better in the sentence?

They have just found some peace. They can not afford, can not cope with another problem.

    Thanks a lot.

What about 'they will not be able to handle another problem'?

There are some subtle differences in meaning and usage among 'afford', 'cope with', and 'handle', so please feel free to ask if you'd like some insight.
