1. Ed was always so popular with everyone because no matter what the inconvenience to him, he was ready to go out of his way to do a favour to anyone who asked.

2. Our house____in a large plot of land.

B. Sits
C. Rests
D. Stands

These questions were posted previously on the forum ..
The ans. as suggested for :
1. to
2. stands


However i am unsure on both the counts. Should it not be "so" in the first case.
And in the second question, i feel it cant be "stands" since the blank is followed by "in a large plot of land" and not "on a large plot of land"

Can somebody clarify it....

These aren't TOEFL grammar questions, so I've moved them to the English forum.

First question--normally we do a favor for somebody.

Second question--this certainly would NOT appear on the TOEFL. Probably stands is what the question-writer was thinking.
