misspelling of last name

Hi everyone ,i have a problem .there was misspelling of my last name on regisration of toefl ibt ,and i have already taken the test ,i realized it only in test center ,now i wonder can it be corrected on score report ?i am afraid that universities wont accept it .what should i do in that case ?has anyone experienced such thing, please share

Take the test? If this was done within the last 3 weeks, but before they sent out the score, contact Prometrics and have them correct the information. If they already sent out the score, see if Promatrics or ETS will resend the score with the corrected name. Good Luck!

thanks for information ,i have already contacted the ETS for 2 times but they responded me it is impossible to correct after the test, i lost hope getting help from them and have writen to Prometrics but havent got answer yet .can they correct it ??have you experienced such kind of problem before ?

See, they are just being lazy, did you register online or by phone? If you registered online, just correct your info online. If not set up an online account so you won't have the same problem.

it can be ..actually i registered online for the test and took the test one letter missing on my registration ,when i contacted the ETS they said that it is impossible to correct it on my score reports ,but i can do it for the future tests .but even when i try to update it is said that identification is invalid alhough it s the same that appears on my id .i dont know whether wh to do ..do you know if i correct i on my profile will the name appear correcly while i send addiional scores ?

That's what I think will happen, correct your online info and send additional test score. I hope it works, good luck!

ok ,i am going to do so .just i have got my score of 31th of may and going to update name and order additional score report .i hope my original name will appear on additonal score report that i send to university .thanks to you for help
