What's a Referral?
I've just been updating my profile and have noticed that under the heading referal it says I have 1. I've got no idea what this is and any explanation would be great.

It just means that somebody typed in your name when they registered.
To be honest, I don't quite understand it either--I'm showing I have 2 referrals, but I know I haven't referred anybody. Maybe new members just type in some name, who knows? Check out the FAQ for more info.  |

"The administrator may have enabled referrals, which allows you to be credited for any new users you invite to the forum."
As I understand it they work if people follow a link to these forums which you have given somewhere. FAQ tells how to establish the link.

Thank's for your help guys now I seem to have some better understanding of it, Should've checked the FAQ's before I posted.
I also don't understand how I've got 1 I also don't remember having referred someone. Anyway thank's alot for the help..
