2 issues: Smilie limit and white spaces being removed

Erin, I am not sure if others also face this, I am not able to use Smilies after a certain limit. I guess, after 5-6 smilies used. & as i quite obvious, me uses a lot of em' Antways, i am sure there are technical reasons behind it. So, never mind. I'll find other means to express my emotions. ;D

Erin dear, i am sure you take feedback in a healthy manner. coz. i got another one. All the Blank space (Space Bar & Enter next line) is collapsed after posting the message. ie. like if I draw a Triangle, this is how it looks like.

When actually i had drawn a Triangle like this,

Which i have drawn using a Lot of White dots, select the 2nd triangle & you'll understand what i mean. Also, i'll leave this message with a lot of Blank lines after the last line typed, but again, all those Blank lines will disappear. ??? I think this one needs a lil' consideration. isn't it. tia.

This is totally unrelated to the bullfighter's suggestions. I just want to say that the smilie here --> is the best smilie on the net!! It has got a 3d tint to it, has its cheeks shaded out in precise color and smiles in a wonderfully friendly way. The smile seems to be coming direct from the heart. Its little eyes smile too! So everytime I use it, it feels like I am giving a smile in person, not just using a smilie for effect! I wish I could look like the smilie in real life.

yup, bull's prob. with me too. The second one more important coz the illustrations suffer badly and am forced to attach image files.

As far as the first problem is concerned, i have more probs. than bull when i am replying to his msg. quoting him( he uses a hell lotta smilies and that restricts the amount that i can put in my msg. )

and like dingus said, the smilies are so cute. jus' the rite size and feel. I like the winkie best.

Good suggestions, and I think I can address all of them.

First, smiley limits are in place simply because I think that most users prefer not to have so many images in one post. I know people disagree about this, but from a couple years' experience running this forum and visiting others, it seems our limit of five or six (can't remember what I set it at) is reasonable, all things considered.

I could be persuaded to raise it a bit. But I would like to get some feedback from others!

Second, the stripping of spaces is default forum behavior, and I'm not sure how to change it. In fact, I think this may be standard HTML behavior (you'll notice that you can't have more than one space in HTML, unless you use the character for it.)

But I think the code tag might work. Let's see. Without code tags:

Okay, that seems to work, although the dots are a little crooked! (And I noticed the code tag button didn't add the tags. )

Finally, about the smilies--yes, I agree. They're my favorite on the Internet, better than even Yahoo or MSN emoticons.

A note about SmileyCentral--that's a company that offers free smilies in exchange for installing their search bar. Every time you search with their toolbar, they get some money. They seem like a reputable company (which is why I allow their ads to run here), but they do have a direct financial interest in making their smilies look great. I think a professional would charge at least several hundred dollars for each of those. But I agree--they're awesome smilies. Another forum that has cool, large smilies is Spymac. yeps, agree. MSN smilies are not that real like.
yahoo's are ok, but yeps, TM's are the Best.
i can understand the limit thing. (it's 6 i think)
