Dear ERIN,

I've seen that many sites have some interesting features, that is first the information about the number of people who are watching the site, including how many members, guests, and even the link to online members.

Second many sites have information about the busiest time of the day, that is the time that has the most people online. IMO it's so interesting and so useful, because knowing that we TM [tm] member can try to be online at that time. For example when I have a question I will post at that time, and many others can answer it almost immediately (you see everyone likes fast replies)

So could you add these features to our forum [tm], ERIN?

Hey! some of the features are already there! look for "statistics" at the end of the board's main page (default.asp):

Hmm... if you have something to post, I guess it's better to post it rightaway rather than waiting for the 'busiest time of the day'. 'cos posting earlier only improves chances for getting quicker replies.

Hi raghuveer_v,

You've misunderstood me. Please look at the red words

I agree that we should post asap, but knowing the busiest time is actually much more useful.

Many times I'm online but no one there, no new topics, no new replies, etc. To tell you the truth that moment is so terrible. So knowing the busy time is much better.

What do you think about this, ERIN? [tm]

Ok,

it's great to know which people are online.

The "link to online members" portion sounds like you are suggesting a "chatting" feature on the site.

IMHO, while chatting will be a good 'feature', it might also be a drawback......in the sense that if people are able to communicate one-to-one, they might tend to direct their queries and discussions to individuals in hope of getting instant feedback. however, the very advantage of having the communication take place on the forum itself is that other people can see, interact, help and learn from these discussions, even though they visit at their own time and convenience.

... My two paise.

I think a lot of you guys are pretty familiar with Snitz Forums, huh? I think that board in VN, the vnol, ttnol, or something like that, uses Snitz.

Yes, I know exactly what feature you are talking about, although I don't think that this feature will tell you exactly who's online, it will just tell you how many people are online.

Anyway, in the coming weeks, I'm hoping to add this feature, avatars, and maybe a file/photo upload feature.

Well actually even with the current forum we TM [tm] members can communicate one-to-one (by using mail, YM, ICQ and the like). So we don't need the higher version to do that thing

One important thing here is that one-to-one communication tends to be personal like flirting or something like that. Thus if we want to learn and share the forum is the best media we have.

Dear ERIN,

No, ERIN, you can know it well. The thing is some members will choose to be invisible.

Great, ERIN. [^][tm][^]I'm looking forward to that week.

And ERIN two more things I forgot:
Quote:

And the thing you mentioned is TTVNOnline or TTVNOL, and TTVN is the acronym of the equivalent words "The Heart of Vietnam".

Oh, I think they're quite heavy to load. You know many times it takes me up to some minutes in Vietnam to load just a single page of TM. [}] I don't know what on earth can be more terrible than waiting in front of the monitor in vainnnnnn. [xx(] The data pipeline here is terrible and the price is cut-throat .

So IMO we should place those things in the member pages.
