Can anyone be in two forums at a time?

Can anyone be in two forums at a time? for example, simultaneously in GMAT SC and in GMAT CR forum?

Is this one of those mystical questions like does a tree exist when nobody is looking at it?

After playing about a bit I suspect the answer is only if you use two browsers, one in each forum (and are logged in on both) .

Anyway, why do you want to to know

I often, even usually, have more than one browser window open for the forum. So yes, I suppose so.

You may also notice that the Who's Online function doesn't update immediately. I'm not sure how often it does, but I know I have logged off on one computer, driven somewhere and saw myself as listed as still online.

I tried that in Mozilla (viewing from IE in which I was logged out) and got the impression that it was only the active window (or tab) which showed me in IE, hence my comment about two browsers.

Updating seemed quite fast, but refreshing IE was necessary to avoid drawing the old page from cache.

Well, I must admit that I haven't tested it to this extent. Let me play around a bit with Firefox, IE, and Opera, all at once...

Okay, here are the results: Michael, you're right--it's a lot faster than I realized. But, I couldn't get it to show me in more than one place at once, even though I'd opened FF, IE, and Opera all at once.

So you observant people have noticed the forum showing people in two forums at once?
