nitpicky request

This is an awesome site, first of all. I haven't found any other site like it on the web, and I am very grateful for it. In an effort to think of any possible shortcoming of this site (which was very difficult, and you may ask "why even undertake such a challenge?"), it occurred to me that separate sub-forums (of "Graduate Admissions") for econ and computer science applicants might be a useful addition. Not a big deal, but thought it would be cool. Thanks.

Yeah, those are two popular majors here. We've had a couple of other requests, too, but I haven't made any decisions yet about whether to keep everything lumped together as it is or separate things.

There are many advantages to keeping everything together, although I concede the many advantages of not.

thanks for considering it. it's a selfish request, as i'm a cs applicant. but i notice a huge number of econ people too.

forgot to mention... the main reason this was an issue for me was that i couldn't search on "cs" since it contains only two letters. cs seems to be the term most commonly used (as opposed to "computer science" or "compsci", etc.) in most such posts. thanks.

Well, I've done a couple of things in response to this request. First, I've created a computer science forum. Second, I've added the term cs to the list of allowed short terms.

Moving threads is a bit harder than it actually sounds. I've moved a few already, but I'm not sure what I'll do with the rest.
