Redirecting fails after submitting a post
Hi Erin,
I just want to submit a feedback of a bug that I have face too much this week: When I try to submit a post for any thread using the advanced posting tool, I usually end up looking at a blank page without redirecting to the original thread. I pressed F5 to reload but unfortunately this lead to duplicate my post. Furthermore, when I checked the forum page, the last poster wasn't me and it was referring to thread's previous poster ( the guy who posted before me). I countered this problem while using the quick reply also. So, I just thought you should know about this bug. (BTW, Microsoft give free prizes for guys who submit critical bugs ) |

Another Problem to report( This is really a serious problem and not a tiny bug):
When I visit the Computer Science Admissions Forum, I can see that there are some new posts at two threads: please suggest me some universities (please suggest me some universities for spring 2009) In at UCSC (In at UCSC (PhD in Computer Science)) But when I click on any thread of these two, I can't see the new post, and the links to these threads stay bold. For example, If I clicked on the first thread ( Please Suggest me some universities ) the last post would be mine: http://www.urch.com/forums/computer-...tml#post559861 (please suggest me some universities for spring 2009) But if I tracked Dudeman posts I can see that he had posted two replies after me: http://www.urch.com/forums/search.php?searchid=894136 http://www.urch.com/forums/computer-...tml#post561235 http://www.urch.com/forums/computer-...tml#post559866 However, I can't see any of the both replies, even if I pressed on the post link I end up seeing the first page of the thread. This is the case for the second thread also, Would you guys check what's going on ?? |

I'm aware of the problems, as they've been plaguing us for some time now. I know what to do about the first problem (basically move to a new server), but the second one I haven't had time to troubleshoot yet.
Sorry for the problems. ![]() |
