Hi, I'm applying for 2006/07. When should I start looking (applying) for financial aid (in addition to that of universities)....before or after I get known where I'm going to? (before or after 15th april 2006?).

Perhaps any idea where an international student for phd in economics should looking for his financial aid?

I've split this thread off for you; you'll get better responses if you post your questions separately, since people tend to think that the original question in a long thread has been addressed.

The short answer is that you should start your research as early as possible, since it will be difficult for an international to find financial aid. If we know what country you're from, that might help, too.

I'm from Slovenia. (hint: a country of 2mio inhabitants...
a neighbour of Italy, EU)....hm... Perhaps someone here knows the winning numbers for a lottery...

u could try out the university sites.. they themselves provide links to wher u could look for aid.... here is one option though... its the rotary international ambassadorial scholarships.... the basic eliogibility is that u gotta have a rotary club in ur country... check this link for further details..

they offer aid of upto 20,000 USD i think......
