Hi, I am a graduate from the Philippines. I would like to inquire what else would most pharmaceutical require aside from the FPGEE certificate? and also, should I be the one who calls for the board for a license to practice as an intern? Thanks.

    Hi MDpharma,

You check with the State where you want to practice. Usually you need to apply for intern license after receiving the FPGEC certificate. Some states do not require intern license. Start contacting pharmacies if you need sponsorship. They require FPGEC cert and intern license.

What a shame I did not apply for my intern license before! I could have worked at least half-year as intern, since I got my eligibility confirmation for FPGEE in January 08. I could have had my hours counted, and I would probably had made more money (I was getting $10/h as a tech). I asked so many people about it when I was working, but I had bad luck, because everybody told me that I would need to pass FPGEE and TOEFL first in order to get an intern job in Florida... and I believed it!

I will try to find out if I can have some of these hours deducted from the 2080 h requirement.

Thank you so much again for your help!
    Hi letter of recommendation 2008,

Hi! yes, NH does not require intern license nor FPGEC certificate for internship. However, most companies still prefer foreign grads with FPGEC certificate. If you have license in MA you can always transfer it to NH or vice versa. That is exactly what I am planning to do depends where I can get the first offer. I was planning to take TOEFL on FEb 21 but maybe March 7. I have not registered yet. I hope we could help each other. Private message me if you guys are willing to.
