hi..just passed the april FPGEE exam and until now im so overwhelmed about it...now what i have to do is to share the way i did during my review and also with the materials that i used...
1. I started reviewing January. What i did for the whole month is to concentrate reading the CPR. While reading i tried to write some important details from what i have read. 2.For February, since i already read the whole CPR what i did is to repeat reading it in the morning.. two chapters a day. In the afternoon i tried answering questions from DUTTA book since the questions and answers was based from CPR.I think it was great because it will really help you how to become familiarize with the CPR.I also tried answering questions from different resources like Manon shroff 1000 Q n A. 3.For the month of March,I read the management part from Manon Shroff and Remington book. I really concentrated reading management because i really dont have any idea about it.And whenever i have free time i tried to scan again the CPR for me not to forget everything that ive read.I also did answering the questions from APPLETON & Lange's review of Pharmacy. 4. And lastly for the month of April, since i have only 14 days left,i tried to re-scan whatever i have wrote during my 3 months review I hope this will help for the future test takers My prayers... ![]() |

Hello and congratulations to everyone who cleared the exam. I was wondering if anybody can help me with this question. What book or reference can we use to study Basic Biomedical sciences parts A,B,F of Area 1 of the blueprint. I haven't encountered these fields in the CPR, or maybe I'm not looking hard enough.
Please let us know. Any reply and suggestions will be greatly appreciated. And again, congratulations to the April passers, you're almost there. |

Hi everybody, i passed thanks to God ! This was my first attempt,I graduated 5 years ago,I almost forgot everything i studied in college, but I started preparing for the test in january.
I started with the pharmacology from the cpr (cvs, cns, and all other pharma.) for about 2 months, then i did managment ques. from manan, then theory book, after that i started reviewing all what i studied by answering the 1000 Q from manan and also doing calculations at the same time i studied the first couple of chapters in cpr (ceutics), i was like dividing my day, reviewing in the morning and studying new stuff in the afternoon. Before the test with 2 weeks,i stopped studying, i was only reviewing and answering questions as much as i can, and i passed with 103 And this forum was really helpful, it had lots of ideas and practice tests and other refrences posted by members, so thanks to everyone who posts on this forum,it really helped!Good luck to everybody!! |

Hello all i made it too with a score of 106.I couldn't have been happier. To future test takers i suggest you start studying as early as possible,do not procrastinate.Basically i used CPR (read it back to back),if you need to brush up on your pharmacology which is very important look for any book of your choice that is really simplified.I used Basic Principles of Pharmacology though i have forgotten the author but can look it up if anyone needs it.Then the Manan Shroff books were also helpful especially the 1000Q&A (it follows the same format of how the question is asked in the actual exam and saw a few questions in the exam),no question came out from the management book. What i will suggest for management is that you google pharmacy practice and management in US you will find some books you can read online.I did that after i had taken the exam and found alot of the questions asked in the part 2 of the exam in the books and regretted why i hadn't done that.Remington will also be helpful there. If you can take the pre-FPGEE it can help you know how prepared you are.Always follow the FPGEE blueprint the questions will not fall outside that scope, those are the areas of emphasis. Finally expect applied questions and reason smartly.FPGEE is doable but you have to study.GOODLUCK to you all

Congrates to all who came out with flying colors in April 2009.
Bow wow wow yippee yo yippee yay!!!!11 Job guys!!! Friends please help me. I had following queries regarding the paper format? 1. how many questions are asked in total? 2. Blue print defines four sections of studies, so are these questions asked sectionwise or are in abrutly mixed format. 3. what is passing score and out of how much total marks? 4. how much time is alloted to us for each section or we need to write entire paper in particular time? 5. Apart from hard work, any smart work that can be done to ace the exams. Friends please reply and help me and all other oct 2009 exam takers. |

I have a question about managment part. I failed this part last year when I was taking paper based test and I'm planning to take in October. Do you think Shroff and Remington should be enough for this part? You are right about CPR. We should be pay a lot of attention on it!!!!! |
