TOEFL -New requirement for FPGEC who submit application after 1 April 2010

Applicants must take the TOEFL iBT at an Educational Testing Service® (ETS®) test center located within one of the NABP member and associate member jurisdictions including the 50 United States, District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, nine Canadian provinces, two Australian states, and New Zealand. The FPGEC will no longer accept TOEFL iBT score reports from international ETS test site locations.

That is bad... even for people who applied before 1-April we have until 30-june, then we have to follow the same way after that!!!!!

I passed both the Toefl pbt and TSE but not the FPGEE yet,is that mean that I should repass the TOEFL and TSE in a case I will pass after June?

Did you send your result to NABP? if not it is better to do.. it is about TOEFL.. if you passed it and they received the result befor June it is ok... here is what did they say "it is in NABP web site"c and you can ask them that will be much better


he Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Examination Committee™ (FPGEC®) recently made amendments to the requirements for FPGEC Certification, which include changes to the accepted English language proficiency examination and what constitutes a valid test site location. Candidates who submit an application to the FPGEC Certification Program on or after April 1, 2010:

• Must pass the Test of English as a Foreign Language™ (TOEFL®) Internet-based Test (iBT) as the sole English language proficiency examination. Score reports from the paper-based TOEFL and the Test of Spoken English™ (TSE®) will no longer be accepted for FPGEC Certification.
• Must take the TOEFL iBT at an Educational Testing Service® (ETS®) test center located within one of the NABP member and associate member jurisdictions including the 50 United States, District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, nine Canadian provinces, two Australian states, and New Zealand. The FPGEC will no longer accept TOEFL iBT score reports from international ETS test site locations.
• Must not take the TOEFL iBT at the Los Angeles, CA, ETS test center located at 3540 Wilshire Boulevard. Score reports will not be accepted from this test site location.

Candidates who submitted an application prior to April 1, 2010, will have until June 30, 2010, to successfully complete the English language proficiency component of FPGEC Certification as currently required. On June 30, 2010, all FPGEC candidates will be subject to the provisions outlined above.
To eliminate multiple trips for internationally located candidates, NABP suggests that candidates try to schedule their TOEFL iBT on a date near to their scheduled Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Examination® (FPGEE®) administration date. Currently, all FPGEC candidates must also take the FPGEE at a US test center.

Hello everybody
regarding to new toefl requirement i didn't understand ? I am applying for oct/2010 does it mean i have to submit toefl ibt before going to october exam or is it just about the location of toefl test center please explain it for me i don't understand

Thank You i.k.u for replying.....I will call them later,,,,,thats mean I am not required to retake the TOEFL again ,if I will take the FPGEE in Oct 2101?right?

I think that they mean you must pass the two tests before 30 June

does that mean that they will cancel the TSE and TOEFL results of me in a case I dont pass the April Fpgee??how bad luck I have?

how bad luck to us all....maybe they find out that passing toefl&tse is not difficult as toefl ibt , and many people do the first test. now toefl ibt must be done in certain centers and under NABP observation.

Hi Guys ,
i think there are some misunderstanding , if you pass both TSE & TOEFL & the results reported to NABP under your name so there is no problem even if you didnot take the FPGEE yet or didnot pass it
