Hi, i have a query.... do i have to apply for anything (like internship licensure) before starting the internship? because the licensure requires a SSS number and before obtaining the SSS number i have to have an employer. how should i go about it? pls help. thanks very much....

It depends on state to state. For example, in NC, an intern must be registered with the state board within 5 days from starting intership.

well it's certainly not good news to hear you guys struggling like this. i'm doing FPGEE this october, and i think i'll think twice before moving blindly to the US.

Same in south carolina - no internships available so far wherever i checked!

Finally, I got my fpgec Certificate, but now. I can’t find sponsor to start my internship. All the chains of pharmacies are not hired foreign pharmacist at this moment. I don’t’ know what to do.
I need help

Hang in there. We all are in the same boat. Would probably get something in Sep/Oct after college interns are back to school

Hello everybody,

I am in Raleigh NC too. I feel the only way to finish the intern hours is you can hired as pharmacy tech & after you get your certificate you can ask the pharmacist to sign the intern form for u but u will get the tech rate not intern. the intern rate is triple the tech but at least u will finish your hours. i am done with FPGEE and i am struggling with the toefl i will take for the 4th time tomorrow isa, pray for me. after the pharmacist signed the form for me i send it to z board of pharmacy to count the hours they returned back to me & told me that they changed the rule last Aug. & i have to have my certificate to start count the intern hours.

Hi. So do you think that will work? Getting a pharmacist to sign off on intern hours if you are working as a tech? For me, the pay of a tech is fine as long as I can get the intern hours. Thank you for the idea.

Same here, could nt find any position as intern for 4 months now. I am ready to work anywhere in US. Now, I am tired of it and I stopped calling around.
