I received the FPGEC Certificate about a month back. I ran into all the nearby chain and private pharmacies, target, wal-mart, talked to district supervisors, applied online, approached pharmacists and pharmacy manager but it seems that all have only one answer - No intern position available at the moment. I am in NC and looking for internship in Raleigh Durham area and even willing to take anywhere in NC. Not sure about others but I am finding it extremely difficult to find the position

Has anyone recently got the internship in NC? Any help or guidance is highly appreciated.

Same problem here. Wondering if we can work as pharmacy technicians and count our hours.

Yes, I am looking in the Raleigh-Durham area. I don't see openings anywhere. It looks like there are student interns doing their summer internships everywhere. We might have some luck in the fall.

Hi, I am from Oregon and I did not realize that it is going to be so difficult to find an internship. However, have you tried to apply for pharmacist positions? Some of them have a note " pharmacist with a license or eligible for license" what means that they take people for residency. The only thing is that such a person has to take NAPLEX during the residency year. That's how it is here or was...maybe things changed with economical crises.

I really hope things get better in the fall. Its amazing how nobody has a vacancy for interns.

Same story with me!!!
Still no vacancies in Florida too!!!
I get emails back that they are fully staffed with interns and at this moment nobody is hiring!!!
We will have to wait and reapply in couple of months!!
