please answer these important questions

hello friends.

can anybody please help us in answering these questions .

1. atmosphere rich in hydrogen
choices are Reducing, cyanobacterial, Coacervate, Positive.

2, failure of pumping ability of left ventricle results in
MI, Pulmonary edema, Peripheral edema, aortic aneurism.

3,enzyme lipase which class
ligases,hydrolase,transferase, oxidoreductase

4, which of these one molar solution has highest osmotic pressure
cuso4,nacl,cacl2,napo4( sod phosphate)

5, which drug internal phase of O/W emulsion
low mol wt, high mol wt, low partion coefficent, High partition coefficent.

6, which of the following settings has lead to increase in prescription volume.
chain pharmacy, mail order pharmacy, supermarket, independent pharmacy

7.which of the following prenetal vitamins overdose results i greatest toxicity.
iron,folic acid,vit A , Mg

8. which of the following allergen drug reaction is IG E mediated.
cough to lisinopril, nausea due to codeine, itching due to morhine, bronchospasm due to P

9, hypoglycemia due to Acarbose. to rise blood glucose which is given,
cereal, orange juice, chicken soup, cheese sandwitch

10, phenytion toxicity leads to
dry mouth,double vision,perfuse sweating, bronchoconstriction.

1.
a.reducing agent=electron donor
b.cyanobacteria=blue-green algae, which use oxygenic photosynthesis
c.coacervate=tiny droplet of organic molecule (usu lipid) held together by hydrophobic forces
d. positive: what does this mean? if it means H+, proton, then this is probably the answer

2. failure of left ventricle
causes congestion of pulmonary vasculature and dyspnea

3. Lipase=hydrolase

4. CaCl2 produces the largest number of moles of ions, and would therefore produce the highest osmotic pressure (1 mol of Ca and 2 mol of Cl).

5. (from Wikipedia)
Partition coefficient= ratio of concentrations of a compound in the two phases of a mixture of two immiscible solvents at equiplibrium. Hence these coefficients are a measure of differential solubility of the compound between these two solvents.

Hydrophobic Rx with a high partition coefficient are preferentially distributed to hydrophobic compartments.

Hydrophilic Rx with a low partition coefficient are preferentially found in hydrophilic compartment.

In an O/W emulsion, internal phase is hydrophobic, therefore need a drug with a high partition coefficient.

6. Mail order is the newest type of pharmacy, therefore probably the one to increase Rx market volume.

7. Vit A can cause birth defects (remember all those warnings on Accutane)! Concentrations in a pre-natal vitamin are fine, but I guess in an overdose situation it could be problematic?

8.
I think it's bronchospasm, though I couldn't see the drug name...
I believe itching is a side effect of morphine, not an allergy.
IgE involved in Type I hypersensitivity reactions.

9. OJ! fastest source of carbs.

10. phenytoin can cause nystagmus (shaky eyes) and double vision (diplopia)

Question 1, . H are positive (they carry a positive and are oxidizing in nature)
Q. 6. I googled and found out that the highest volume of prescription is in chain pharmacy
Q.7 Prenatal vitamins have a very high conc. of folic acid which an overdose of these vitamins will cause folic acid toxicities.

I still think it is folic acid, these are the major difference between the prenatal vitamins and any other multivitamins

I thought about iron too..but there is only 30mg per tab...I hear the point about folic acid being the major difference from reg vitamins, but it is not that toxic, is it? Not an obvious one...

I think the atmosphere rich in hydrogen is not positive, but reducing!!!

I googled and found that it "in a reducing atmosphere, hydrogen is present but oxygen is absent".

About toxicity, I think it's iron, but I am not sure, since all the vitamins in ovedose may harm the organism. Iron overdose has been one of the leading causes of death caused by toxicological agents in children younger than 6 years. Iron is used as a pediatric or prenatal vitamin supplement and for treatment of anemia. Iron is particularly tempting to young children because it appears similar to candy.

Well, Iron may be a possible choice since it is also in high conc in prenatal vitamins. Yes, it is quite confusing
