Hello to all!
Wow, I found the first part very hard - very technical detailed questions. Second part was more straightforward, but still some stuff I had never heard of! Some questions I wasn't sure what they were really asking...I hope those were the test questions. I did well on the pre-FPGEE (98, range 82-114), but based on Part 1 I have no idea if I made the minimum. I agree - only a few calculations (and I practiced so many) - but why no calculator! I also didn't know we wouldn't be able to leave the exam room at breaktime - good thing I had a granola bar in my bag! Some people had nothing and were very hungry. My test center in Manhattan was at full capacity (15) with a very small waiting room. They also made a very big deal about taking exactly a half-hour break and having to keep exact time yourself...if you take too long or not enough you get disqualified! Give me a break! Good luck to all! ![]() |

Hi all,
What I can say about my test today, firstable, my eyes are so irritate ...too long test almost 6 hours in front of a computer.... awfull...plus I was the last one in leave the room .... the first part, I've feel a little bit confident ...but still have some doubts ...question were so technical and no calculations ...just two or three??..... I spent lot of time studying that area......the second part I was like in another world ... management and pharmaeconomics with some pharmacologic questions advers effects is a important key.... there were moments that my mind was blank...... thinking about the time running and I had to read the questions 2 and 3 times.... since my english is no perfect ...it was like double work to me...... at the end I felt empty and like was in aw....... I don't know how I should feel about it..I spent lot of time reading my books but I don't know where some of those questions came out from...hope and pray we made it...... ![]() |

As of me, I found the second part much more difficult than the first..
Way so many clinical questions and the majority are tricky... And yes, the first part had lots of chemistry questions, those were straightforward (which was ok for me) but so many management and way too many unexpected questions. I, too, wish to pass. And to everyone else, there is no calculator allowed or needed (as per the exam instructions) but there weren't many questions that needed calculations and the few that were in the test were straight forward. I was the only one in the test center taking the FPGEE, and everyone in the center was extremely nice. I was the last one in the room. My test was in a quite area (in the dirty south!) |

Am so glad its over! Is really interesting reading everyones opinions, I am a UK registered pharmacist and this was my first time taking the FPGEE (and hopefully my last!) I found the first paper extremely difficult, definately had to guess a lot but I thought the second paper was ok. I think that our degrees are mabey structured slightly differently, a major focus of ours was clinical as was our equivalent intern exam. Most of the knowledge I applied in the second paper was from previous learning. I used the same reference materials as everyone else (Manan Schoff, 1000 qu's, Dutta, CPR and so many calculations I lost count!) but a lot of it didn't come up! Fingers crossed for everyone, just glad to have a night off from studying!

Hello All,
and good luck About Exam today all my students told me that it was so good and just contain some tricks ..... and there is no subject we didn't cover on my course and also practice Exams with answers the difficult as all complain from it now in the studen forum in testmagic forum and my forum also only the management Part and i wanna to tell all very important thing about this part .......> FPGEE exam in management part depend on understanding and your degree depend on how did u think on this question as most question may contain 2 correct answers one of them is the most correct and the other is correct so who will choose the most correct he will take the full degree of that qouestion ...and the other who will think and choose the correct answer he will get % of this question degree, so don't blame urself for this part and don't worry about it. don't think more in Exam the result will appear after about 8 weeks so let it tell u what u did on Exam.... Best Wishes for all FPGEE Students with great Success Dr/Voldemort |

Wow...I've yet to read a positive reply to this thread. I just read the Apr'09 thread and there were lot more positive posts. Does that mean that this time the exam was harder then Apr'09 exam?
May be the FPGEE exams "scaling score" method would weed out the difficult questions from our final score. It would be interesting to see the results...may be we can poll that time to see how many of us passed -- I hope all of us do. |
