Does anyone know anything about Pharmacy School in USA ?

i'm just wondering if anyone tried to attend Pharmacy School here. How long does it take if you are a Foreigh Graduate Pharmacist? Do they have any special programs for us? If yes, where.

Do you mean to attain a PharmD or MS or PhD? If PharmD, I have heard people mentioning NOVA southeeastern university in Florida where you can complete PharmD in 2.5 years for Foreign Pharmacy Graduates.

Thank you. What about PhD. Is there anything around New York, MA, NJ, CT?

There are few pharmacy schools in NY: Albany, Long Island, St. John's. I'm studying in Long Island U, they provide PhD in Pharmaceutics.

I would not mind to go back to school only if they count my foreign pharmacy degree and it will take 1-2 year. I hope I will pass this time although I'm more concern about my second part of the test. Taking the test last year was much easier. Does long Island U have a program for us or you did start everything from the scrach. I do live in CT but I do not mind to move at all.
I will start search for a program after my score.

I'm doing MS in Pharmacy Administration and it won't count towards the 5-year undergraduate degree, so I'll still need to sit for FPGEE for licensing. Well I think if you pass the FPGEE, you might not need to do any program unless you want to further your studies into PharmD. I'm not sure whether Long Island U allows credit transfer and straight into 5th/6th year.

If I would pass FPGEE I'll be fine. After TOEFL I can start my intenship in the hospital where I work full time. I'm just looking an alternative way to complete my education in the USA.

Hi, can I ask what the career outlooks are in the US with a MS Pharmacy Admin degree? Or any others like Master of Pharmacy(US degree)?
I've heard there's a hiring freeze in America and all the "gloom-and-doom" about the job market...

And what uni are you attending for your degree? What motivated you or what made you think it might be necessary to take the course?
