pleasee help - registration problem
Hi everyone,
I am interested in taking the April 2010 Exam but I don't have my pharmacy license from India. I didnot register with the state board or take the license but I have successfully completed my degree. My friend in India was going to help me with this matter but he recently told me that my license cannot be done without me physically being present there. He said I need to sign some sort of affidavit in front of the lawyer stating my residence in India Apparently the legal matters are strict in that scenario. I can't leave the country for the signature as I am on OPT. If I do leave I either need to be on H4 visa which takes 3-4 months to be processed. That means I can leave around January which doesn't give me enough time to get things done regarding FPGEE. I am very stressed right now. Do you know if there are any alternatives to this. Do I need the document of good standing from the pharmacy council. Is there any other way I can get this matter solved? Please give me feed back on this. I'd really appreciate it Thanks, nivi |

Hi nivi Pharm,
I think You should follow this- 1.Get your forms from the State Pharmacy Council with the help of your friend 2.Get your Affidavits stamped from the Notary equivalents in USA. 3.Authority letter in the name of thy friend that u authorise him to submit the documents on your behalf. 4.You need to deposit originals of your degree marks sheet(final year) to the state Pharmacy council for verification. By the way you are from which state? and what is this OPT you are on I think you can do it all from USA because State pharmacy Councils accept the documents along with Authority letters from the applicant. |

Hi bobby blue ad ss16,
Thank you so much for your advice. What exactly is an affidavit. I will need to ask my friend if I can get the affidavit made here. Will that work? What does it have to state? I am on OPT visa which is optional practical training. You get this visa for a year which allows you to work after you have completed a degree in the U.S. On this visa you are not allowed to travel and that is my obstacle. I am in NY currently? How about you? Please do give me some more information on the affidavit. Thanks again nivi |

Hi nivi pharm,
Affidavit is a court document (stamp paper/paper with court fees) on which you have to print the declarations(The Language/points in a standard format required by state pharmacy council and they will provide you the same) This is attested by Notary Public. |

Hi nivi Pharm
From which state did u did your pharmacy from in India. You could visit the state pharmacys website and email the concerned authorities regarding your situation.I dont think there is any need of coming to India for this purpose, you can give an authority letter in the name of your friend pay the required fees ,and get the good standing certificate.Generally it will take 15-20 days for getting the certificate depending on the state which you passed out from. You can get some public notary in the USA to get the Affidavits stamped & signed. |
