Hello everyone,

first of all - congratulations to all who passed October FPGEE! I passed too (with 144 score, I have no idea how those guys came up with this number, but I won't argue with them...) and I am so grateful to this forum for all the useful tips and ideas how to get ready for this huge exam. Thank you all!
I think everything important was already said by others... My impression from the exam was, that no matter how long or how hard you study - you should go and try. I have studied for 4 and 1/2 months full time and thought that I covered most of the blueprint, but after the exam I estimated that at least 1/2 of the questions in the exam I just tryed to solve by common sence or simply guessed. Of course, I did expect questions I would not know, but so many?
Honestly, I don't know what sources recommend for management, ethics and statistics - I have studied Management from Shroff, ethic and stat. from Remington, but it did not seem enough. Since these areas seem hard to cover, I would recommend to get yourself strong in:
-pharmacology (study Lippincott + read along the same chapters in CPR, make sure you know the mechanisms and side effects - plenty of questions, also pharmacokinetics/dynamics, don't skip OTC chapters),
-chemistry (understand it, you don't need to know the structures),
- biochemistry + microbiology (CPR, if you have time go through some other review, too - e.g. First Aid for USMLE Step 1, you can get older editions for $2), immunology (CPR seems enough),
- genetics + molecular biology (Wikipedia + whatever review book)
- also pharmacoeconomics (CPR is ok, but Shroff helped me to understand it).
And then, if you have time, go through all other chapters in CPR (exept - I did not read Nuclear chapter and I did not miss it...). There were questions from them, too, but not that many. I also did not study anatomy or pathology from any specific source, but always when I found something I did not remember from school or was confused about, I found it out on Wikipedia. I don't remember seeing questions from anatomy in the exam, but there were some from physiology and definitelly pathology (mostly etiology), which I think is somehow well covered in CPR. And, there also was couple of questions from history, which I studied from Remington.
Don't expect you will remember everything you study for the exam and don't get stressed about that fact. Do your best and trust your intuition while picking the correct answer (I find this very important - sometimes when I didn't think I know the answer, the first thing that came on my mind was correct - before I started to analyze it and picked the wrong one... even though we believe we don't remember it, it is somewhere in our unconcious mind, so trust yourself).
... I hope this was not confusing and will be helpful to someone. If you have any questions you are welcome to send me a private message...
Crossed fingers for all future FPGEE takers! And don't give up!
GOOD LUCK TO ALL!

I graduated 15 years back. I started with Lippincot and moved to CPR. Lippincot helped me to cover my basics in detail. Then I started reading CPR. There are so much stuffs to cover and at this point Dutta Fpgee questions book helped me. If you are graduated recently then you can directly start from Dutta Fpgee Book. Dutta book questions are corelated to each chpater in CPR. Pay attention to explanation for questions . I used Remington for Management . But most of the management questions you can answer with fair logic. I have never seen other material/book so I can not comment on any other book or material.

This is same thing i posted after my exam and i am posting again.

Key is

Practice questions , Practice Questions and Practice Questions . Either it is Mannon or Dr.Dutta ..You must practice , practice , practice............

Best of Luck !
