In the speaking section,be confident even when you are off the track, no uneccessary hesitations, dont give the rater the impression that you are lost they are humans too. You may have a good point but lack of confidence can get you scored lower....when lost keep on talking with authority and some how you may re-establish your self. However take as much note as possible then use the prep time to connect them, talking loud doesnt mean shouting, talk naturally and dont bother about all these talk about speaking slowly,just be yourself and relax, that way the points will connect better

The lenght of time is dependent on your personal evaluation and conviction, the more practise or exams the better, there is still element of luck in toefl especcially when a familiar topic comes up,for instance a science based exam taker may be confounded with questions in art e.t.c. but more relaxed with questions relating to one's major,so more practise on strategy is essential

Hi
try writing the points for speaking and writing part in your own language that's how you will be able to write all the points that are mentioned. As missing points may result in less score. Believe me I passed toefl ibt 2 nd time when I took it and I followed this rule. |
