documents
Im trying to apply for the April 2010 exam. Im still in the process of gathering all the necessary documents. My question is does all the documents need to be in original form? or certified true copies are accepted? I already requested for a certified true copy from my school but upon reading the NAPB site it says there:
Educational Credential Evaluators, Inc Please send the following items to Educational Credential Evaluators, Inc (ECE):

Every documents sent to the ECE must be original or may be copies issued by the University (my University provides students only one set of original documents that we have to keep preciously) and those documents must be in a sealed envelop at the name of the University.
I sent to the ECE : 2 official transcripts and 2 proofs of degree (copies made by the University, each set in a sealed envelop at the name of the University) 2 sets of certified translations of my transcripts (my proofs of degree were in English) and they returned me one set. The ECE application form You are allowed to send your documents directly if they are in a sealed envelop... Good luck to gather all the documents ! It took me a lot of time : my University was not very used with this kind of request... |

thanks xypaff.
its hard to request documents especially if im not the one processing it. (im here in US now). i asked my parents to request for a certified true copy of my documents from my school (i gave them a photocopy of my transcript and diploma) and the school said they will certify it and seal it in an envelope and send it back to me. so once i receive it, i can send it now to ECE? thank you again. |

In fact, I ordered translations here in the U.S.A. in a "translation center" (to avoid to tell which one
) and I provided "the translation center" the original documents that I had with me. I kept my original and they are back today in a secure place in my country ! And the person that did the translations told me that it was better to do the translations here (in U.S.A.).I went back in my country and ran to the University to ask the copies of the official transcripts and proof of degree... If the member of your family can do it, you have chance ! ![]() If your documents are correctly sealed by the University and if you do not try to open them, there will be no problems with the ECE (and even with NABP because the proof of registration must be in a sealed envelop too). |

Thanks again xypaff. I have another question, do i have to send the documents to ECE first and wait for their response before sending my application to NABP? or do i have to send my documents to ECE and NABP at the same time? Thank you.

Normally, in the bulletin, they ask us to send all the documents at the same time... You have just to ask the NABP (I did that by mail with the application bulletin to the NABP) to write you when they will receive the evaluation report... You will see : it is very easy ! I was very anxious because I sent my documents at the end of July and finally everything was fine : I could sit for the 1 October exam. Just do not forget that this is the ECE that has to send the evaluation report to the NABP (you have to mention that in your ECE application). |

Yes, you have to send the fees along with the FPGEC application... This is to open your file : you will receive a EE number...
Did you receive yet your FPGEC application ??? They explain you everything and you receive a pink envelop in which you put your check. Once you have your EE number, your file will be open for 2 years. Some exceptions may exist... You can call them if you want to clarify some points as the payment. |
