if yu apply with the illinois department of professional regulations.by paying 75$ and your univ transcripts..they will evaluate yur 5 year program
if it was found according to the board standards to be an accredited pharmacy program..they will make yu eligible to sit for NAPLEX without even taking the FPGEE or do any internship hours.
if it was found to be a non accredited program yu will be asked to submit FPGEC and do 400 hours of internship hours, which will require yu to get a technician license in illinois.
in case your program was less than 5 years and not accredited yu will be asked to get a pharm d equivalent
so go ahead and get yur transcripts in a sealed envelope and send it along with the application for illinois registered pharmacist, which yu can download from www.idfpr.com
and a 75$ check,so they can evaluate yu.
    good luck

i am 100%sure cus this is waht happened with me
i graduated from a 5 year pharmacy program
i was studying for my FPGEE when i decided to go ahead and apply a month before the exam( i sat for the june 2006)exam..so i did
and to my surprise i get this letter from the illinois department of professional regulation's dirctor Mr. Jim Scott.telling me that im eligible to sit for NAPLEX.
i was shocked at the begining to tell yu the truth khadiga..so i called...not once ,not twice but three times...and they told me that they have checked my program and they found my university's program to be accredited according to their standards...and that i dont need FPGEE or internship hours...so i went ahead and applied with the testing center..and payed the money for NAPLEX/MPJE
and i got my ATT within two weeks.
and here i am....i have already sat for MPJE and peparing for NAPLEX .
    pretty weird ha???
but its the pharmacy practice rules here in illinois..its right there in the little yellow book the board sends yu along with the application.
go ahead and give it a shot...yu never know
as i said yu can get the application by downloading it online or calling them on this number(217)785-0800
and asking them to send yu the application packet
    best of luck khadija

The big question to fof78 is where did you graduate from?, the answer to that question bears all the explanation to your story. Thanks for sharing that. Thanks.

To get the Illinois pharmacist license, do you have to do the internship?

And what if i want to get the Illinois license in order to transfer to another states, will it be possible?

    Thanks in advance

i graduated from APPLIED SCIENCE UNIVERSITY IN AMMAN JORDAN.
yu know what..as i was talking to one of the representatives on the phone in the illinois department of professional regulations..the man told me that they have a special system of program-evaluation processes
he said that if someone graduated from my collage and had already submitted an application ;they would have evaluated the collage..because they have a special company that does the evaluation for them.

if no one before me ever submitted an application from the same collage as i did..then they would have to do a new evaluation....

in their evaluation process they might ask an individual to submit the curriculum and any other documents like year books or something, that are related to this collage and would help them evaluate it...i was talkingto a pharmacist the other day who graduated from egypt,he had to translate his year book along with ,the collage curiculum in order for them to evaluate it
so i guess it was my luck that someone else from my collage had submitted an application and had our collage evaluated....and thats why they answered me fast
so yu just have to try and see what happens!!
    good luck to yu all

    well
it depends on the evaluation of yur program by the board
if yur program is accredited=no internship
    not accredited=400 hours internship
if less than 5 year program,yu will hve to go to collage and get a pharm d equivalent+internship hours
