    Dear All

    Below is useful link for organic directing group

    Ortho, meta, para directing functional groups – see link below

    Also some example of Polar and semi polar group

    Polar functional groups: carboxylic acids, unsubstituted amides and sulfonamides, alcohols (primary, secondary, and tertiary), amines (primary), any ionized functional group, halogen (fluoro only)
    Semi-polar functional groups: esters, ethers, thiols, amines (secondary and tertiary), substituted amides and sulfonamides, aldehydes and ketones
